THESE women may hold vital clues to the murder of a man found lying in a Bootle street.
The friends were captured on CCTV drinking in the Strand Tavern pub, on the corner of Strand Road and Lither land Road, at the same time as Christopher Thompson, 42.
Early on Saturday, June 9, Mr Thompson, from Lither land, was found lying on a pavement near the pub bleeding from a head wound.
He was taken to hospital, but lost his battle for life less than a week later.
LED Flexible Strip Crystal Series Crystal 5050One of the women was wearing a yellow sundress over white trousers; the second a black, strappy dress with black heeled sandals and carrying a black and white handbag; the third a light-coloured dress.
Police believe the woman wearing the black dress may have had a conversation with Mr Thompson.
A spokeswoman said: Catalog Printing "The three women were drinking in the pub at the same time as Mr Thompson.
"It appears one of them may have had a brief conversation with Mr Thompson although it is not believed to have been an angry confrontation.
"We do not think these women are linked with what happened to Mr Thompson but that they could have valuable information."
Police believe Mr Thompson may have been involved in a row with another man before collapsing.
They are studying CCTV footage to see if any cameras picked up the altercation or spotted Mr Thompson's attacker leaving.
Mr Thompson wore a navy blue Fred Perry polo shirt, blue jeans and blackshoes .
