Brigg and Goole MP Ian Cawsey attended the Humberside Federation of Women's Institutes' competitive event at Scawby Village Hall.
The event featured WI groups from all over the Humberside area, which entered competitions for cake-making, cheese straws, cushions, knitted handbags and craft arrangements.

Mr Cawsey had a go at bead-making under the watchful eye of event organiser Phyllis Taylor of Crowle.
He said: "I enjoyed my time with the Women's Institutes from the area.
"I had a go at threading beads, but they were incredibly small and I felt a bit cross-eyed when I finished!

"The WI does a great deal of good work in the area.
"It was an honour to have been a guest at this event and I look forward to attending such events again in the future."
