China Enterprises Index down 1.97 pct -- Feb. 4
HONG KONG, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) -- The pandora style beads Hang Seng China Enterprises Index on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange fell 232.84 points, or 1.97 percent, to close at 11,605.88 on Thursday.
The H-shares index, initiated in August 1994 and readjusted on Sept. 7, 2009, tracks the overall performance of 44 major Chinese mainland state-owned enterprises listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
The Hang Seng China H-Financials Index went down 270.83 points, or 1.68 percent, to close at 15,849.45.
